A metal label (nameplate, type plate, data plate) is a permanent identification plate manufactured from aluminum, stainless steel or brass. It carries serial numbers, model designations, regulatory marks and brand identity.
📌 Material Options
- Anodised aluminum: lightweight, cost-effective, good for indoor/outdoor machinery to ~150°C
- Stainless 304: general industrial, good corrosion resistance
- Stainless 316: marine, chemical and pharmaceutical-grade applications
- Brass: premium architectural and luxury branding
📌 Marking Processes
Anodising for aluminum produces an integral surface mark. Chemical etching produces a paint-filled deep mark on stainless. Fiber laser engraving produces sub-millimetre precision marks on any metal. Screen printing under clear coat is used for full colour or photographic content.
📌 Standard Thicknesses
0.5, 0.8, 1.0 and 1.5 mm cover most applications. 0.5 mm is typical for adhesive-mount; 1.5 mm for rivet-mount equipment plates. Thicker plates up to 3 mm are produced on request.
📌 Mounting Options
3M industrial adhesive (467MP / 468MP) for clean flat surfaces. Rivet mount for permanent fastening. Threaded studs for tamper-resistant fastening.
📌 Compliance
We produce CE type plates per the Machinery Directive, UL nameplates per UL 969 and MIL-spec data plates to customer drawings. Variable data driven from CSV ensures every unit is uniquely serialised.
